Environmental Policy
At Haisthorpe House we are committed to minimising the impact our business has on the environment by:
Inviting guests to request breakfast in advance to enable us to manage food portions effectively, only purchasing the food that we need and reduce the amount of waste and plastic packaging.
We recycle glass, paper, plastics wood and metals. We compost any vegetable waste.
The lighting in the house where possible is fitted with low energy bulbs. The heating is managed by thermostatically controlled radiators.
We do not routinely change the towels on a daily bases, but rather replace the towel if there is a need.
We encourage guests to use water responsibly during their stay.
We use Bio-D cleaning products to reduce the use of harmful chemicals.
